Care and feeding your Silvan Threads
The best way to care for your garment depends on the fabric (more details below). Washing on a gentle cycle and hang drying will give you the longest wear of your clothes, but fabrics that contain no elastic can tumble dry on low temperature if needed. I like to hang dry most of the way and then tumble dry the rest of the way.
The exception to the general recommendations on fabric garments made from hemp/cotton or hemp/bamboo jerseys (Note: This does not apply to fabric containing elastic). Hemp is an incredibly durable fiber that adds a lot of longevity to the clothes. Much like linen, it breaks in and softens beautifully over time, hence why I love my hemp pieces even more after wearing them for years. If you want to speed up the softening, wear and wash your hemp garment frequently and don't be shy about putting it in the drier. (low temperature is still recommended).
