This baby brings ALL the drama and gothic whimsy. Bodice has sexy shapes that accentuate the body’s natural lines and provide a form hugging fit without feeling squeezed. Each individual piece of the bodice is double layered, buttery Tencel stretch, except the bust which is Tencel lined bamboo waffle knit. Long bamboo waffle knit skirt with large, topstitched side panels with pockets hidden in the side seams and witchy, dramatic hemline. Layered butterfly sleeves are made from numerous pieces of silk and frayed linen, hand gathered and stitched together in some places to create an interesting draped effect.
Dyed job varies between black, inky, almost black and a deep gray purple depending on the type of fabric.
Most dresses I make have 10-20 pattern pieces overall. This one has 52.
Size Medium, but Can fit Small up to Large (43” Bust) due to stretch.
Wash gently, preferably by hand. Outer sleeves and neckline are made from an open knit that will fray a bit if put into the washing machine (fabric was chosen specifically for that aesthetic). Just trim any long flyaways to avoid them snagging. Hand dry. Bamboo takes a bit to dry, so hanging on a warm day is best.
